Helvetiaplatz, 4052 Basel

The Quartierflohmarkt Gotthelf/Iselin spreads across two neighbouring Basel districts for one Sunday a year. Private residents set up stalls in front of their homes, in gardens and courtyards throughout both neighbourhoods — follow the balloons or the map to find them all. Helvetiaplatz serves as the central anchor point, hosting group stands and the bring-and-take action. The spirit here is deliberately local: stalls on the street, neighbours selling to neighbours, and hidden corners of Basel opening up for the day. One of 17 neighbourhood flea markets organised across Basel by Verein Stadtprojekt throughout the season.
