The Quartierflohmarkt Matthäus fills the Matthäus neighbourhood in Basel with private stalls for one Saturday a year. Residents set up in front of their homes, in gardens and courtyards across the district — follow the balloons to find them all. Matthäusplatz in front of the church serves as the central gathering point, hosting the bring-and-take action throughout the day. One of Basel's liveliest inner-city neighbourhoods, worth exploring on foot. One of 17 neighbourhood flea markets organised across Basel by Verein Stadtprojekt throughout the season.
